INTRODUCTION

Google Crowdsource is a fun, easy way for us to use our abilities to contribute to the building blocks of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It helps to improve google products even better for different languages, regions and cultures. Answers from people around the world are used in Machine Learning based products, making them work well for the diversity of the global population. Whenever we contribute to the tasks which are provided in the Google Crowdsource Application, it helps to improve Artificial Intelligence thus making google products like Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Translate etc more accurate.

IMPORTANCE OF CONTRIBUTING TO CROWDSOURCE

Google Crowdsource is available in the form of a website also but only a few tasks are available to contribute in the case of a website.

CROWDSOURCE BENEFITS

Badges get unlocked at level 3, you'll receive a community newsletter at level 7, you'll receive invitations from community managers to attend crowdsource events online through google meet at level 17, you'll be featured on Google Crowdsource's official Facebook page at level 25 and you'll receive an e-certificate of Distinction at level 35.

LEADERBOARD

The top 100 contributors for each task will be displayed on the leaderboard.

IMPORTANCE OF QUALITY CONTRIBUTIONS

Quality must be there instead of Quantity. Answer the questions only that you're sure of and don't hesitate to skip a question if you're not sure of the answer. Never spam to reach a certain rank in the leaderboard. Only quality contributions help Google products to get more accurate. Always remember that you're contributing to improve Artificial Intelligence which helps google products to be more accurate.

HOW TO BE AN INFLUENCER

When you receive the invitation to attend the online session about crowdsource by the community managers, they'll guide you about how to become a good influencer. After that, you'll have to host google meetings and make other people aware of the importance of contributing to crowdsource. Community managers will send you several forms like pre-event forms and post-event forms where you'll have to fill in the necessary information with the screenshots of the event hosted by you.

CROWDSOURCE CAMPAIGNS

There will be several campaigns hosted by Google Crowdsource officially as well as by other Influencers. You'll have to contribute to the specific task for which the campaign is organized. If you can win the campaign by becoming one of the top contributors, then you'll receive awesome rewards in the form of swag. Do remember that only the top contributors who do quality contributions will receive rewards after a quality control review by the community managers.

CROWDSOURCE IN-PERSON EVENT AT GOOGLE OFFICE

Each year some top influencers are invited to the Google office of their respective countries as a token of appreciation for the things they have done to grow the community. You'll get a chance to meet the community managers and other influencers and get a chance to learn more from them. You may also receive some swags post-event.

Information about the tasks and badges is well explained in the application. You can analyze your contributions by points and contribution breakdown. Languages that you feel comfortable can be selected by going to the settings page. You can open source your contributions in some tasks like Reading Charts, Trust in Charts, Audio Donation, Image Capture and Smart Camera. If you want to receive e-mails and notifications you can enable that in settings. The app is available in both dark and bright modes which you can enable in settings. You can share as well as accept the invite code. You can also download offline tasks.
